    Piece of MIND!
My wife and I like to travel. We are traveling all the time to visit our children and grandchildren. On top of it during the year we make one or two major escapes for a 3-4 week.We never lost our luggage completely. However, a few times we were very close to this to happened. My wife is constantly worries that we might lose our suitcase… and then what? Our Apple AirTags cannot control the airline employees but by checking where our suitcase are is kind of putting our mind at ease. I do recommend buying an AirTags. One example that happens a few months ago.We were seating at the foreign airport waiting for our flight. I checked a few times the location of our suitcase. We were on Terminal A but for some reason our suitcase was on terminal C which was a few miles away. I told the agent at the gate that our suitcase is at terminal C. He told not to warry, and that luggage people still have time to bring my suitcase to correct terminal. Right before boarding the plane, the gate attendant asks me to check again where is my suitcase. I told him that it’s still at the terminal C. And now the gate attendant started to worry. Right in front of me he called his manager and explain the situation and give him my ticket number. I could not understand what they were talking about, but they were trying to correct the situation. After we were already boarded the plane the gate attendant came to my seat and told me that my suitcase was transferred in time to our airplane…

    A True Life Saver
These Air Tags are a life saver and I say that from experience! I’ve had them on my dogs for over a year now, but never really had to use them until recently. One of my dogs is a 13-year-old Yorkie/Bichon who is deaf, and has heart-issues; He is severely frightened by fireworks. We recently had tornadoes that damaged the fences in our yard, but we were not aware that he could actually exit the yard through the neighbors yard because their fence was damaged on the opposite side as well. On the 4th of July, we let our dogs out to use the bathroom, and seeing and feeling the vibrations of the fireworks, he got scared and ran off. We searched for him for hours, following the air tags location, but he kept moving. Finally the location stopped; he was in a home a few blocks away. We went to the house, but of course they lied and said he was not there. We pleaded with them to give him to us, due to his health issues and medication he needed, but they continued to deny his presence. We called the police of course, because we knew they were lying! I guess, since they couldn’t figure out how we were able to track him to their home, they just let him go back out into the street about about 20 minutes later. Another hour and a half later, we found him hiding behind a flower pot on the next block. If it were for the accuracy of this Air Tag, we probably never would’ve got my fur baby back home! I am so happy I invested in it!Sorry for the long story, but the bottom line is, if you love and cherish your fur babies like I do, it should be a no-brainer! Get an Air Tag! Especially if you have breeds that are highly coveted and prone to being taken and not returned. Microchips are worthless; they only help if someone actually returns your pet to the Humane Society or something. Don’t depend on the off-chance that your pet is turned in by a good Samaritan. In 2024, unfortunately, there aren’t many anymore :-(

I swore I’d never need these, and then I started planning trips.
I try to stay optimistic, but I know that stuff gets stolen. Or lost. But theft is a thing, so when I started planning to travel more, and I subscribe to the “onebag” mindset, I figured I’d finally bite the bullet and purchase a couple of AirTags. They work quite well – you can customize the name on your iPhone or iPad as to what you want each tag to represent, along with an emoji. That’s it. Connect them via Bluetooth, and you’re good. You can get the tag to play a little chime from your phone, and you can find it with your Find My… app. I used these in conjunction with the Elevation Lab vaults for my bags, which I’ll review separate. Overall, very happy.

    Wonderful to have the Security
I have bought 2 so far. It is nice to know that I can find my items any time. They also send a notification when I leave them somewhere other than with me. That is nice to know if you left them behind to go back and get them. They also will make a noise if you want them to, if you just misplaced them around the house or wherever. They say the batteries go out in about a year. They are only about $2.00 each so not too bad. I will probably buy some more as now I can think of all kinds of things I would like to find if someone would steal them.

    AirTag > Tile IMO
I’ve had my own AirTag for several years. This is the 4th AirTag I’ve bought, as a gift.I had been a Tile user previously. The one advantage tile has is that it works both ways – you can also press the tile to find your phone. I wish the AirTag also did this. I haven’t used it but tile also has a flat card option, which I can see would be much better for wallets or to attach to items like computers and tablets. What the AirTag has over the Tile (in my experience, may be outdated) is precise location. I like that it will tell me exactly how many feet away the AirTag is located and in what direction. I had once tried to find my Tile in a crowded conference and could only see that it was in the room but not precisely where. While it plays a sound, in that situation it is not helpful. The battery lasts about a year and uses the 2032 battery type. You get a warning before it dies.
