Title: Fantastic Batteries…BUT NOT UNTIL FULLY CHARGED FIRST!!!
Review: First off, ENERGIZERS ARE AUTHENTIC and legit but DO NOT PLAN ON USING THEM DIRECTLY OUT OF THE PACKAGE!Despite this listing’s claim that these batteries have been packaged & shipped fully charged and ready to use, you will almost assuredly find that your new Energizers are incapable of more than faintly lighting a small LED light and won’t have sufficient charge to run any motorized or power hungry devices at all when you first unbox them. Indeed, you’ll be putting them on the charger ….so I hope you have a newer or fairly advanced rapid charger to make quick work of charging these fully before first use.Thankfully, my Energizer branded 4 cell rapid charger took the entire pack of 16 from virtually bone dead to fully charged and powering 8 extremely realistic authentically hand-dipped wax LED flickering flameless Christmas candles for each of our home’s front windows–in under 2hrs time. That includes the time spent carefully unpacking each individually wrapped taper candle and a set of brand new brass candle holders, charging batteries in 4 batches of 4 and loading each candle with 2 AA Energizers before setting them to desired flickering effect & brightness and placing them in all street facing windowsills while finishing up hanging of 3 remaining sets of lights around each window frame. Couldn’t be happier.Sidenote:I used to be a huge fan of Duracell Quantum batteries and didn’t realize just how much money & time lost to charging excesses I had squandered until I found myself in a bind while traveling & 3 out of 4 Duracell AA batteries suddenly failed recharging; leaving me to hurriedly find & purchase replacements from a limited supply of off-brands and various Energizers–so I selected Energizers & crossed my fingers. *Strike 1: Duracell*The set of 4 Energizer AA rechargeables I chose was interesting because they included a FREE plug-in wall charger AND cost slightly less than the basic Energizer 4-pack without a charger. That purchase turned out to be an awesome deal in more ways than just saving me a couple bucks. The included Energizer charger turned out to be far more capable than my relatively new (<3mos old) Duracell 2x charger, which employed a tiny green LED (steady blinking or solid lit) in lieu of any meaningful charge progess indicators plus it annoyingly required batteries to be charged in matched pairs AND it never did indicate my 2mo old Duracell rechargeables were bad or failing. The free Energizer charger offered rapid charging, built-in battery testing & accurate time-lapse indicators for between 1 and 4 AA or AAA batteries AND allowed immediate confirmation & identification of 3 BAD Duracell rechargeables in a new set of 4! Score one for Energizer. Now, if that weren't enough, the Energizer rechargeables were incredibly reliable....longer lasting and quicker to recharge than the Duracell batteries I had long trusted. Another score for Energizer. **Strike 2 for Duracell.**Jump ahead 2 years or so and 5 out of 7 First Alert smoke detectors that shipped with long-life Duracell 9-volt batteries began chirping weeks apart after a mere 1 year in service. Having previously discovered & subsequently replaced a dead primary smoke detector downstairs, I was shocked and curious following installation of our new smart combo detector. I chose a brand new hardwired Google Nest Protect that includes battery backup ....and noticed it shipped with a brand new ENERGIZER ULTIMATE LITHIUM 9V BATTERY and upon reading that Nest engineers specifically designed & optimized the Nest Protect's dual mode smoke & CO smart detector to such exacting standards that they would only GUARANTEE the detector to never fail to operate correctly even during power outages for 10 years, as long as any required replacement of the 9V backup battery was done with the SAME EXACT ENERGIZER ULTIMATE LITHIUM BATTERY (or Energizer's latest equivalent upgraded lithium ion 9v in current production), it got me thinking.Less than a 1.5 years after replacing all 8 original smoke detectors in our home-- 1 smart Nest Protect using Energuzer Lithium backup battery and 7 conventional smoke detectors that came equipped with Duracell lithium 9V batteries-- 5 outta 7 of the conventional detectors began chirping within a week or so of one another while the Nest Protect worked flawlessly, completing its own weekly self-checks and never falsely alarming nor chirping at 2a.m. to warn of a low backup battery despite being 6mos older than these other 7 detectors that were now chirping for battery replacements 24/7. So I made the executive decision to replace all 7 Duracell backup batteries at the same time using the more expensive ENERGIZER ULTIMATE LITHIUM 9V instead of the First Alert recommended Duracells. It wasn't cheap ....but 3 years later and every smoke detector in our home routinely tests good and not one has chirped even a single solitary chirp! ***3rd and FINAL STRIKE for Duracell***I owe it to the permanent switch to Energizer ULTIMATE LITHIUM batteries, which I now use exclusively in all of my battery powdered devices including remote controls and every one of our alarm / smart home sensors (some use coin cell batteries & I even order Energizer Lithium replacements for those). The only devices I use Energizer's RECHARGEABLE Ni-Cad batteries in are non-priority items and high consumption items like older flashlights and motorized RC kit cars, toys & Christmas decorations, etc. For devices that chew through batteries that don't warrant the expenditure for the lithium ion chemistry--which has a much more consistent drain & characteristically linear power output quite nearly to point of complete drain, as well as higher supply tolerances for peak bursts / transient current demands (common in dSLR flash modules) than traditional metal hydride & rechargeable nickel-cadmium chemistry or worse still, old-school alkaline batteries that give up most of their power early, rapidly fading to lower & lower output until dying with a whimper--you want the reusablility and cost-effectiveness of these Energizer Rechargeables!!Hope my experiences help you feel confident choosing the correct battery & brand required for your specific needs.Cheers!

Review: In our house we use a lot of batteries and have a rechargeables from a number of different brands. These are worst lot of batteries I have ever bought as they barely hold a charge. For example, my partner has an electric foot/heel scrubber which takes 4 x AA batteries, but after about 15 minutes use, they need replacing. Waste of money and I’ll be putting them in the battery recycle bin and buying Eneloop instead. I wish I could give zero stars, because you buy rechargeables to reduce waste, but these batteries are the exact opposite.
