Review: I had been wanting a drone for a while but never really took the time to look, and Amazon recommended this one to me, and after doing a bit of research⦠the deal was just too good to pass up. It arrived in a few days with Prime, and while I am still learning to fly it, itâs very intuitive. Camera quality is very good. Itâs also pretty zippy. I wish it had some type of obstacle avoidance tech built in, and maybe thatâs something HolyStone will incorporate into future drones. Until Iâm expert flyer I just try to steer clear of things I could potentially run into. Battery life is decent, and one thing I have noticed is the battery life seems to last longer in cooler temps or when the sun isnât beating directly down on the unit. I would def have at least two batteries to get some decent flight time in. Overall, itâs a quality product, I like its size, and itâs a good looking unit as well, very slick looking. Iâm happy with it. Worth every penny spent. Keep your eyes peeled for deals on Amazon.

Title: Amazing first timer drone
Review: The battery life is not what I expected but I got the fly more bundle. Wich comes with an extra battery and charger. AMAZING picture quality and fantastic video. Great in windy conditions as long as you calibrate the gimbal. And no need to register the drone with the FAA wich is a plus. It’s got easy to follow tutorial and has amazing speed and performance for how small it is. It’s easy to controll and understand once you get the hanf of it!

Review: Edit 2: I’m very impressed with Holy Stone’s ability to address and resolve customer issues. Replacement drone inbound at no charge to me within 24 hours of first contact, after suffering an unexpected mid-flight disconnect and drone loss. I will update as needed and see if I can find somewhere to get an accurate range measurement without as much risk. See below for the incident leading to this.Edit: Holy foreshadowing Batman… See review from unboxing below. Just lost signal drone-side at ~1400 feet from home on my first attempt at a “long distance flight” and did not reconnect when I brought myself to the site of signal loss. Screenshot from the app attached.I’m new to hobby grade drones, with only a few dozen hours on toy grade stuff. This thing has opened my eyes to what a drone can actually do. The camera is decent, both flight and the gimbal are very stable, and the software is straightforward. Only complaint is range, it’s nowhere near the advertised 20000 feet. I was beginning to get noticeable control lag and FPS drop just going vertical from launch to the US recreational limit of 400 feet in altitude so I can’t imagine I have even 10% of what we’ve been told. Updating that alone would get y’all that 5th star.

Title: Great photography, easy to control
Review: A friend did manage to crash my drone into a tree about 100â in the air and got it stuck. It fell down a couple days later. One ten minute call and holy stone is sending replacement parts under warranty, great customer service and fun to use! Edit:I got the new arm installed this morning and itâs flying like new again. Fantastic customer service, great drone to play with!

Review: The flight range and battery life are nothing compared to whatâs advertised. Once the battery entered into low battery mode during the flight (15 minutes after a full charge) it flew itself straight up and died, free falling approximately 120 feet. This is unacceptable. Do not buy this drone.Value: PoorWeight: about the only thing positive about it is it is light.Performance: not as advertised.Ease of use: it is easy to control, but when it dies after 15 minutes of use mid flight, that doesnât matter much.I would share a video, but I couldnât make it past a 15 minute test flight.
