FANTASTIC!!!
You can get less expensive dash cams, but the Redtiger Dash cam is absolutely the best!! I’ve been through my share of dash cams…..This red tiger dash cam trumps all the ones I’ve ever owned. When You pick it up, touch it this thing feels expensive. It feels rugged. It feels like it will do the job! Mounting is simple, and phone app is easy. Here’s the thing..I bought my wife a new 2024 Silverado. NO CIGARETTE LIGHTER PLUG FOR 12V. So, I had an immediate problem. I could not connect the dash cam. I wrote to Redtiger explaining the issue. They IMMEDIATELY sent me a direct connect cable at NO CHARGE…yes ….free. Turns out the new Silverados fuse arrangement and description is fairly cryptic. I called Redtiger once again explaining how much of a dummy I was!!! They sent very clear instructions for connection, but that wasn’t going to suit my needs. I called again!!! They were so awesome!! They immediately understood my issues and sent me yet another set of cables…these connect directly to USB, and they send a cable that connects directly to the compute port of the Silverado ! I connected to computer port and problem solved!!! You get what you pay for…catchy phrase…absolutely true in this case! The Customer service team was quick, responsive, and just amazingly patient…I couldn’t pay for any cables because they insisted on sending them for FREE! I know these cables don’t come cheap! You can’t buy this kind of Customer service anywhere!!! SO…if you’re in the market for a dash cam….be sure you get REDTIGER! In this case, you’re not just buying a camera…youre buying amazing Customer service and you become part of their family. Sounds corny, but its true!!

Fantastic Dash Cam AND Customer Service!!
*****UPDATE*****I bought this dashcam in Feb 2022 and as mentioned in my initial and amended review, I received outstanding customer support. I want to reporrt that almost two years later, this dashcam is working FLAWLESSLY. I have never had an issue and it has served me very well. I do not need a new dashcam, but if I did, the REDTIGER F7N 4K dashcam would be my choice. It was money well spent. And for full disclosure, REDTIGER does not know I am writing an update; I only thought of it because my friend down the street asked if I had a dashcam and, if so, what brand/model? Easy answer and recommendation. I hope he is as happy as I have been!I’ve wanted a dashcam for my 2015 Chrysler Town & Country for the longest time. I did a ton of research before buying and delayed purchasing for quite some time. While I’m sure some of the competitor models are good, I finally decided on the REDTIGER 4K front/rear dashcam. I liked this one for the features and the great feedback I saw. REDTIGER dashcam shows very clear images, has Bluetooth and GPS capability, and a parking mode if hardwired (I didn’t do that part yet, but I’m about to). Installation is on the right side of the rear view mirror and that actually is good since you don’t want to be gawking at the camera and not at the road. I just connected it to my iPhone today using the UCAM app and it worked flawlessly. Great field of view, clarity, and smoothness. If I wanted to take a photo or save the video, it was just a press of a button on the phone. I was very impressed.Installation was ridiculously simple and that part startled me because I am not usually adept at this type of thing. Except for the 2-3 inches of wires by camera, the wiring is totally invisible. I do recommend going on YouTube and watching how to install the rear camera on a hatchback to get the wiring in the correct location.Customer service was exceptional!! I had purchased the dashcam for $149.99 along with a hardwire kit to use the cam in parking mode that was paired with the cam for another $18.99. The dash cam comes with a 32GB mini-card, but I upgraded to a 256GB mini-card. Well, the paired hardwiring kit had the wrong plug so it had to go back. While looking on Amazon, I saw a new deal for the exact same REDTIGER 4K dashcam for $118.99. I asked Amazon for a credit, but they said I had to return the unit and reorder. So I reordered the dashcam, but I decided to wait on the wiring. The new unit came in the next day, but it did not have the 32GB mini card. I received an email from Ms. Shelly, REDTIGER representative, who was concerned that I had a poor experience. I explained that wasn’t true; I simply couldn’t get a credit from Amazon. I told her the hardwiring kit wasn’t correct and the mini-card was missing on the new unit. Ms. Shelly from REDTIGER immediately apologized profusely and said the company would make it right. She was professional, patient, and knowledgeable – very customer service-friendly. I asked about an extention cable to the rear of the van and the cost because I wasn’t sure the supplied rear camera cable would be long enough (I hadn’t installed it yet). But REDTIGER company promptly sent me one free of charge! As it turns out, the original cable was just long enough, but if I decide to reconfigure the cable location, this extension will come in handy. Oh, and they also gave me a new hardwiring kit free, AND gave me a credit for the missing 32GB mini-card, even though I said it was ok because I had purchased the 256GB card. I offered to pay for the wires up front, but they wouldn’t hear of it. The point is that REDTIGER, through Ms. Shelly, provided OUTSTANDING and PROMPT customer service. They didn’t have to reach out, but they did. They didn’t have to be concerned, but they were. They didn’t have to provide the accessories for free, but they wouldn’t take no for an answer. They went out of their way to make it right, and they weren’t even the ones at fault!! And Shelly is simply the BEST!! She demonstrated the company really cares.I cannot speak to the folks who didn’t enjoy this dashcam, and here’s hoping it works for a long time (it’s not even close to hot outside yet). But I am absolutely thrilled with both the cam and the company. I highly recommend this brand and trust me, it usually takes a lot for this old Air Force retiree to recommend anything – this was my experience. Sure glad I bought this REDTIGER dash cam.ADDENDUM: After about 6 weeks, I did experience an issue with the camera not synching with my new phone. I contacted REDTIGER and Ms. Shelly was genuinely concerned and immediately sent me a new unit. This new dash cam works perfectly and I am grateful for the absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service AFTER the sale. This is the customer service one would expect from all sellers, but we all know that doesn’t always happen. I mean, how many times have you read where customers got stiffed because it was after the return window? I can testify that mine was after the return window, too – But REDTIGER stands by their product and made it right without any hassles. They just took care of the problem. My new unit arrived exactly 24 hours after the conversation with Shelly. I stand by my earlier comments that I am so glad I bought the REDTIGER dash cam. This one is working just fine.

Rear camera is an exterior mount NOT rear window so complicated for Jaguar F Pace install
My first dashcam (I have been using an android app (Droidcam) on my phone for a few weeks which worked well as a test run but made the phone run hot). Unit is smaller than I expected with a screen so you can see what it sees. Other buyers had some issues … here is my take (I skipped the picture quality aspects as they are covered by other reviews – its actually 2k but fine for my purposes)1) Front camera mounting location is important – my car (Jaguar F Pace) has a specific area where you must mount electronic devices that need to have an external signal (eg toll passes – I found this out to my cost!) This is a black dotted area around the rear view mirror. Anything mounted outside this area gets flaky reception – this camera has GPS so needs to be mounted in the designated area. I took some time to work out where to put the camera so I could a) access all the buttons (both sides of the unit), and b) access the SD card – left hand side as you look forward. I ended up mounting it just to left of the rear view mirror (I am in the USA) – 2 pieces of electrostatic sheet are provided so you can glue the mount to those rather than the windscreen. Take your time! It is pretty unobtrusive but I can get at it easily including the button for taking a still picture…2) Connecting to the unit – the unit uses a Wifi signal NOT bluetooth (same procedure as a smart bulb) so you need to connect to this. App is OK (I had no issues with Android) – connected fine. App install bombed out the first time but worked fine 2nd time. I had to allow a couple of permissions (write images etc) – all standard from my POV.3) Installing rear camera – one thing I did not realise when I bought this was this is an EXTERNAL camera and is designed to be mounted on the number plate frame – having spent some time looking at how I could do this on my car I decided it was too complicated (if not impossible due to sealed units on the trunk) and opted to buy a rear window mount. I already have a reversing camera at the recommended location and this mounting position is too low for my purposes (eg if I have a small hitch attached the camera view would be blocked)Your car may be fine – suggest you check install BEFORE purchase or buy the window mount – this is the one I got. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Y2RS7F3/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2D03PT3N1OAWT&psc=1. Red Tiger should probably add this cheap piece of plastic as another option or just include it in the kit.4) Running the wires – there are 2 tools provided which allow you to push the wire into the trim around the window etc. Dead easy. Adhesive clips are also provided but I didn’t use any. Front cable is 12 feet which is a little short for my purposes. USB C so ambidextrous on the right angle connector!5) Connecting to power; The power unit is a gigantic cigarette lighter plug with an added USB port but it was just too big and the wire was about 2 feet too short for my car so I used a high powered double USB socket cigarette lighter plug and bought a 15 foot USB A to USB C cable. NB the jaguar F pace usb port did not provide sufficient power for the unit (it hooks into the infotainment system) so this was not an option in my case. Looking at hardwiring videos its all pretty straightforward – you need a multimeter to work out which fuses are on when the car is off (for 24 hour power) and which ones you can use (eg DONT use the airbag or any security circuits!). Seat power seems the easiest to use but check your car manual and other recommendations! . You need to buy a couple of wires to piggy back onto the non essential (but permanently ON) power supply in the fuse box.6) Functionality: I really like the unit – small but well made – clear picture in the little screen and picture in picture for the rear view. Pretty intuitive – (power button for back and then middle right button for select and the other 2 buttons navigate the menus). In settings I turned sound OFF, GPS ON and WIFI On (whilst I tested the phone connection). If I had to grab images I would probably just pull the SD card and read it in my laptop. The 128Gb Samsung sd card comes with a reader chassis.7) Recording time: It looks like the sd card needs be formatted every few weeks (there are settings options for reminders for this) and the 128Gb supports about 8 hours of travel. When the card is full is overwrites and you can specify the loop timing. – I set it to 5 minutes from memory. All in all a good purchase – I would recommend the 128Gb card bundle and grab a rear window mount if you don’t want to fiddle with running the cables through the rear of your car.Dinged 1 star for 4k and lack of rear window mount and the app is not great as others have pointed out.UPDATE 11/14/2023 – I was stationary, waiting to turn right onto a main road when the driver behind rammed into the back of me. Fortunately there were no injuries. The rear dashcam captured the whole event as well as the driver getting out of the vehicle confirming who was driving. I uploaded the video to the insurance company to prove my statement and am currently getting my vehicle fixed ($5K of damage). Apparently, I will get my deductible refunded if the other driver is found to be at fault (this is VERY clear with the video). The only tricky element was reducing the size of the video to something that could be emailed or uploaded (seems like 20Mb is the limit for the latte with my insurer). All in all very happy with the purchase and the quality of the video.

I recently purchased the F7N. As a regular user of similar cameras, I wanted to share my thoughts on this product. I chose this camera because of its promise of wide angle and night vision, features that are crucial for my surveillance needs. Having used several cameras before, my expectations were high in terms of image quality and ease of use.Overall the F7N turned out to be quite impressive. The setup was simple, even for someone used to this type of device. The WiFi connectivity worked well, providing appreciable flexibility in camera positioning. The image quality is satisfactory, although I wouldn’t call it the best on the market. The overall quality of the product is good considering its affordable price. The camera resolution and wide-angle feature are strong points, providing an expansive view and acceptable detail. Night vision works fine, although range could be improved.Advantages include ease of installation, stable WiFi connectivity, and overall satisfactory image quality. However, the night vision range could be extended, and the camera could benefit from a more robust construction. To optimize the use of the camera, I recommend positioning it strategically to make the most of its wide angle.WARNING : WARNING : WARNING : WARNING : WARNING : WARNING : WARNING :- Periodic cleaning of the lens can also help maintain optimal image quality. It represents good value for money for those looking for advanced features without spending a fortune. It meets most expectations, although improvements could be made. Here is the link to the card you need, the one recommended by the manufacturer:https://www.amazon.ca/-/en/adapter-microSDXC-smartphones-MB-ME256KA-AM/dp/B09B1GXM16

Review of Dash Cam REDTIGER F7NI purchased the REDTIGER F7N dash cam on December 14th 2024 from Amazon, and it arrived within a few days in excellent packaging. The front camera fit perfectly on my VW T-ROC, and installation was straightforward. However, I encountered some issues with the rear camera. It didnât seem suitable for the inside back window, as itâs designed to be mounted above the number plate for optimal performance. After reaching out to REDTIGERâs support team via email, they confirmed this and were incredibly helpful. They offered to send me the correct rear camera free of charge, including free shipping.Their prompt and considerate customer service turned a potential problem into a seamless resolution. Iâm now another happy customer, and I highly recommend the F7N for its quality and the excellent support from REDTIGER!

– The dashcam works as described with great with clear and smooth video recording.- Installation is easy- Best customer service. There was a small issue that the provided cable does not fit the 12V cigar socket on my car. I contacted Redtiger via email and they quickly helped to resolve the issue by offering 3 options. I chose to have a hardwire kit and they sent the hardwire kit to me in just a few days.
