Title: Great beginner drone
Review: Bought this to learn and practice flying drones. Itâs a nice drone to practice and learn without worrying about damaging it. Itâs small enough to fly indoors and Iâve been practicing outdoors with it in very light wind.

Title: Lightweight Starter Camera Drone
Review: I have wanted to try out using a drone but, though Iâve worked with various PCâs, laptops and programs, Iâve never been a gamer so the thought of using a remote with joysticks seemed a little chancy.When I saw the listing for this SYMA Model X710W camera drone focusing on beginners, I decided to give it a shot.I was actually surprised at how small and light this drone is. It definitely feels more like a toy, though it does have some good features. Happily, itâs easy to assemble and it comes with extra propellers, the clip for your smart phone and propeller protectors that snap on.The app was easy to download using the QR code but for some reason, wouldnât connect. I finally, deleted the app and started over a second time. This time it connected with no problem so I donât know what the initial issue was.Iâm still getting the hang of operating this camera drone but itâs a lot of fun. One problem is that weâve been having quite a few days with stormy conditions and this lightweight drone does NOT like windy days. Itâs easily misdirected by wind.The camera is pretty good for photos but video quality really doesnât look like the 1080P that itâs purported to be. I find that it can be fuzzy at times and freeze up, or the video feed is sometimes lost, even on a full charge.I am dropping one star off of my rating for what seems to be an ongoing issue with electronics these days. The user manual is written in 6pt font. You shouldnât have to strain your eyes or need a magnifying glass to read instructions.Overall, Iâm satisfied with this SYMA Model X710W camera drone for now, realizing what it is, which is not a real drone but a nice toy. But I also think itâs pretty good for a beginner and for this price point.

Title: A little frustrating
Review: The drone itself seems to fly well, and the easy take off option is nice. However, it is not for a novice, which I am. I was also unable to get the camera to connect to my app and the customer service email on the website returned an undeliverable message. This might be good for a pro, someone who knows what they’re doing, but if you need more help as a beginner this is not the drone for you. It does come with spare rotors, which is nice.

Title: Great Beginner Camera Drone
Review: I really like this little guy. It’s not a super high end professional drone or anything, but it is great to learn with. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow and it only took a few minutes. The controller and controls are easy enough and learning to fly it was super easy for me. I was flying it all through my house within just a few minutes. It’s also quite a durable little guy, as I did crash it more times than I would like to admit and it has held up just fine. I haven’t had to replace a blade or anything, though it does come with extras. I even had it loose contact and land on my roof one time. I was able to get it to reconnect and take off again without being able to see it or be in direct line with it. If you have drift issues it has some more in depth calibration and drift settings, but I haven’t needed to mess with those yet. Mine hovered and flew straight right out of the box. The app downloaded and works with no issues, at least for me. The camera is actually pretty decent and clear, just keep in mind that it isn’t a pro grade camera. Flying it by only the camera does take a lot more practice, as I have found out. The battery time is only about 10 mins, but it does come with two batteries. They also charge super fast in under an hour! It says they charge in like 2-3 hours or something, but mine charged way faster than that. Overall I think that it is a great little drone. I’m plenty happy with it and have had a lot of fun with it. I would highly recommend it as a beginner learning drone.

Review: I had bought this drone for my 15-year-old son. He is mr super gamer, so I didn’t think that this would be much of a challenge for him. The drone setup pretty was pretty easy and the batteries charged quickly. We took it out to try it out. The basic function of take off and landing is similar to my DJI drone, so that part was great. The ability for the drone to hover in one place is difficult. It is always drifting off with the slightest wind. The other thing that we struggled with was the battery running out of juice. It happened to us twice, very close to the house and the drone disconnects and drops like a rock. Thankfully we were low and close to the house. Recharged the battery and it was ready to fly again. Just an odd problem that we had encountered. I would say that for the $40-$50 for this drone, it is a very inexpensive entry to a drone that has some functions. The camera works and functions, but it’s not quite the clarity that I would expect from 1080P. Perhaps I am also spoiled by my DJI drone that is literally 15 times the cost.
