Headset is amazing, the customer support is even better.
The AmpliGame H9 by Fifine is the best budget headset I’ve ever seen, it has amazing sound and comfort, and it promises and delivers spatially extensive audio, especially during direction awareness-intensive games. Its detachable microphone is a well-finished piece that gives a clear voice feed- a perfect combination for games and streaming purposes. In my case, I had a broken USB controller. But the headset worked just fine. After a brief chat with customer support, it took only two days and then an entire replacement headset was shipped and arrived at the door.

Budget friendly and impressive mic!
The FIFINE H9 is a budget-friendly gem under $40. Despite its low cost, the quality is surprisingly good. Iâve used it for over 200 hours, and it still looks brand newâno peeling on the ear muffs or headband. The comfort is great, especially since I wear larger-rimmed glasses. The microphone quality is impressive, and could do relatively well for streaming. While the headphone sound quality isnât the best for music, it works well for gaming and voice chat. The build is a lightweight yet sturdy mix of plastic and metal. The included USB sound card offers 7.1 surround sound emulation, which is a nice touch.Overall, Iâd recommend the FIFINE H9 as a fantastic entry-level gaming headset with an excellent mic at a very competitive price. If you’re looking to save money but still want a good gaming headset, this one is worth considering.

Great headset
I’ve own a turtlebeach headset as well as the PS4 ones and they did not work well for me due to the mic sounding scratchy. I was looking for headset that was comfortable and helps me sounds more clear and perfect when in a party and these do the trick. I was doubtful from all the reviews for the headset they were 50/50% good and bad and I couldn’t decide what I wanted to choose so I picked these since the price was cheap. The only issue I have is the usb cable that lets you raise the volume which worked but I couldn’t talk at all unless I was using the controller port instead of the console. Just by being connected to the controller itself I cannot mute or fix the volume, but I don’t mind that I could just take off the mic. it’s still a great headset if you need a cheap one that is comfortable, sounds great, and mic is clear. 🙂

I have broken this review into 5 segments, looking at what, I believe, are the most important details for anyone looking for a headset without getting too technical, I will be rating it based on the Look and feel, Comfort, Audio Quality, features and lastly affordability, and giving them an overall rating. The Fifine H9 is a cabled headset that is specifically marketed as a low-cost gaming headset, but donât let that fool you, these guys actually do a pretty good job.Look and feelThe unboxing experience of these headphones is not much to be marvelled at, they basically come in this box, and thatâs about it. But rest assured you arenât paying extra for that experience like you would with some other established brands. They are available in Black, white and pink. The overall look of the H9 is quite nice, Itâs what you would expect from a gaming headset and the little smile on the side is cute. The first thing you will notice when you pick them up is they are light, like SUPER light. According to their website, they are 260 grams, compared to other headsets I have, these are by far the most lightweight. The build and material feel a little flimsy and feel cheap, but this could also be as a result of their lightweight design. There is a metallic bar that runs through the frame and connects to the cuffs gives it some strength. This is also where you adjust the height of the headphones to suit, however I do find itâs a little tough to adjust. The come with a detachable microphone which is useful for people who donât want voice coms. However, when the mic is not attached, there is this awkward looking hole on the front, luckily most gamers arenât looking int mirrors while they play.ComfortPutting them on, they feel comfortable, fitting my head nicely however the ear cuffs are a little on the shallow side, leaving my ear to press in on the inside, making it feel like itâs more on my ears than my ear being in them, but I have big ears so other may not have the same problem. Their weight is the biggest thing here, apart from feeling them on my ears, I barely noticed them on my head, which is a great thing if you do game for a long time. I was able to have some long sessions with these for a few hours, however I didnât find the pressing on my ear began to irritate me.FeaturesThe H9 are a cabled headset and feature a very long use cable which has an inline designed sound card which is where your controls are. The headset has a 3.5mm jack which plugs into this sound card. The sound card features your mute, headset column and also mic volume, which is actually handy, not many headsets have a mic volume control. The soundcard has a 7.1 surround sound function, which can be turned on or off. Now I do question the 7.1 surround sound as this usually requires 7 speakers a and 1 subwoofer to accomplish. it does its best to replicate a real 7.1 surround sound. However, its best is a little bit lacking as I was not impressed by this function which we will talk more about in audio quality. The Headset can be used on all consoled. The USB connection allows it to be connected to a PC, a Switch dock and a PS5, however there is no USB compatibility with Xbox, so not ideal for Xbox users as they will be limited to the 3.5 mm jack, which is also used for Mobile and Switch.Audio QualityFirsst of all, the music test, I listened to a range of music, ranging from Heavy metal to Classical, (I have broad tatses ok?) but this gave me a good ide aof their full range of sounds. For music, they sounded good, They are well-balanced around the mid-frequencies, the audio range doesnât do as well in the lower and high frequencies, so a small amount of detail is missed in high areas of songs, and donât expect big booming bass from them.I did try to listen to music with the 7.1 on and this did make the sound worse, which, to be honest, is expected, you should only listen to top music in stereo, thatâs how itâs recorded.Anyway, overall, the music quality is not bad, and unless you have a trained ear or directly compare these with other headphones, you arenât going to tell the differenceMoving on to the important aspect and thatâs the audio for games, To give these a good test I play Cyberpunk 77, the reason there is a lot of action and quite a wide range of unique sounds from gunfire to electronic glitch sound effects, dialogue, cars all combined with an electro punk soundtrack, so it puts quote the test on the headset. Overall, I am actually quite impressed with how well they sounded, I didnât feel like I was missing out on anything, even with all the action. As it did with music, it did lack in the low range, not being as basey as I would like for explosions, however, it preformed really well, and I am quite surprised with how well they did. Like I said, I could use these and not really notice a lack in anything. Now that was using the headphones without the 7.1 feature, I will admit, the 7.1 feature does make the sounds feel broader and does give it some more surround sound feels however this comes at a loss of quality, the sound becomes very flat when in 7.1 mode losing a lot more bass, which it already struggles with. The microphone gets a big tick, I played a few round of League with my friend in discord, and they didnât even notice I had a different mic, no complaints from them, and this is how it sounds, without any filters. Obviously discord and other software filters audio but from a plug and play perspective they worked which is a big plus.Affordability and ValueNow I like to base products on other value they offer, as we far too often pay for brand over function. Value is based on how much they cost, vs their overall quality. To get this, I look at the entire market of headphones and work out a range of prices and where these headphones are positioned and then compare that positioning to the features, quality and experience of the product itself. The H9 are specifically made to be budget-friendly, and retails at 37.99 in the US, and is available on Amazon in Australia for $63, though the white and pink are a couple of dollars more expensive, which is a bit strange, why not price them all the same.Overall, the 7.1 is a competitive selling feature that does let it down, but they are valued very well for the overall quality and features they offer, and I wouldnât be opposed to buying them if I was looking for a headset in this price range. I rate their affordability and Value 9/10.Overview and RatingOverall, they look ok, but they do feel a bit cheap, the metal bar gives it some structure, but the mic hole is a bit strange, the unboxing experience was very lacklustre and I wonder about how long the cushions would last. This leaves them at a slightly below average 4/10.For comfort their weight is a massive plus, allowing me to use them for quite some time without noticing them, however I did want to take them off after a few hours as the sessions werenât very comfortable, which leaves them at a slightly above average 6/10.Being compatible with all gaming consoles is a plus, and the very long USB cable and clip are very handy. But not having Xbox USB support does limit Xbox gamers and the poor performance of the 7.1 surround, which is a major selling feature is a bit disappointing, leaving the features at an average 5/10The audio quality is where these guys really shine and lets be real, the most important part of a gaming headset. Thy do lack some depth in bass and lose some quality in the high notes, however unless your actively comparing these to other headphones, your not going to notice, I didnât find myself wishing for more while, using them, I rate their sound quality 7/10.Lastly, they are priced very well, and very affordable for a headset with the sound quality and functionality they have, I rate their affordability and value at 9/10.Overall, The Fifine H9 is a great headset, and I am pleasantly surprised on their quality. They would be perfect for any casual gamer or anyone who is getting into gaming and is looking for a decent set to get them started. For me, My wife has taken a liking to them and is using them for her setup. Overall, I rate these headphones 6.2/10
