Very comfortable and great sound
I have owned these headphones for a little over a week now. I took them on a trip from the US to Taiwan and tested them extensively during my trip. This is the first pair of open ear headphones I’ve owned so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I wanted some headphones I could use at work and still hear ambient noise like co-workers talking to me without having to stop/pause my music. These work great for that purpose. The sound quality is much better than I anticipated. You don’t get the deep bass that you get from in-ear buds, but overall I’m really happy with it. The case is larger than the in-ear bud style, but that’s to be expected given the design of the open-ear headphones. These connect easily to my phone. I did find that I had to use the little silicone sleeve they provide which pushes on the back of your ear (see pic). This helps stabilize the headphone and prevent it from moving around too much. Without it, they wiggled around too much for my liking, but with this in place, they were solid and comfortable even with extended use and while jogging. You can leave them on at all times – no need to remove them when putting them back in the charging case (see pic). Battery life on these was great too. I found these to be nice when working out – I could easily hear what is going on around me while enjoying my music.

Sound quality is very good when listening to music, videos, etc. Deep bass, crisp highs, I almost forgot they’re not actually in my ear, just sitting next to them. They feel like a quality product, nice materials fit and finish as every other TOZO product I’ve had. I got black ones, they have a nice contrast of gloss black and matte soft touch finishes. The case is nice looking, matte black with chrome TOZO lettering on the lid, with a nice opening and closing feel. The case is a bit larger than I’m used to having had several other TOZO earbuds previously(almost double what I’m used to) but not too large overall, about 3x3in square and roughly 1.5in tall. My previous TOZO earbuds had type c charging like this one, but also had wireless charging which these do not have. I like percentage battery life display on the front of the case compared to only dots or light flashes like some other models and brands. I also like that it shows you on the case like some of the other TOZO buds the state of charge of each earbud/earphone as well as the case percentage – those are in “battery lines” tho, but at least you can also see those in your phone anyway so they’re not necessary to have % displayed.If there’s not much ambient noise I can see them getting a bit annoying for others around you because they can kinda hear it too – like a VERY quiet Bluetooth speaker.Tried using the TOZO app as mentioned in the instructions to adjust the equalizer and sound settings, but I could not notice any difference in sound. No bass changed, no treble changed, it all sounded the same to me. Used some of the presets and also manually adjusted the EQ, but nothing I could notice changed.So far the calls I’ve tried to do with just the headphones are terrible. The sound I hear is very quiet – barely audible. Not sure on their end because I kept ggettong hung up on because I couldn’t hear them and they got tired of saying “yes I hear you”, so I had to switch to phone or loudspeaker.Their fit leaves something to be desired for me, I wear glasses and have longer hair – just to my shoulders so I can’t put it all in a pony tail properly. They keep getting tangled in my hair when trying to put them on and with the glasses they keep either fitting loose if the glasses are on the inside, or make my head hurt after a while because the glasses are outside of them and my head keeps getting squished. I also tried them without my glasses for a bit just to see how they fit and feel. They fit better around my ears, but again with longer hair they keep kinda being in the way. I guess that’s just the nature of AROUND the ear headphones vs OVER the ear headphones or earbuds IN the ear. I tuck my hair behind my ears so they keep getting tangled on the hair and, like with the glasses, it’s hard to put the hair behind my ear and if I put my hair back and then the headphones then they don’t quite fit right because the hair is there. It takes forever to put them on because I have to take off hat, glasses and move my hair around bunch of times and adjust the headphones like 3 times before they’re ok. Also anytime I have to readjust my hair or glasses I keep knocking them off my ears, partly because I’m still getting used to the earphones being there, and partly because they’re on loosely around the ears so they get really annoying quickly if I’m being active. I bet with short hair, or if your hair is long enough to fully keep in a pony tail, braids etc they would stay better. I understand they have to make a generic fit product, it can’t just be tailored specifically to only my ears, or they’d never sell any, and custom fit would be too complicated, expensive and time consuming.Overall they feel very light, and by themselves they feel somewhat comfortable but for me they feel very unstable like they’re going to just fall out any second. Not too tight around the ears so they don’t hurt my ears or my head, but still feel loose. I tried to use them with the silicone “braces” they provided(supposed to be for more active use, to help keep them in place more securely), but they feel even less secure in my ears. Because of the long hair and glasses they just don’t sit where they need to be, so they don’t “hook” properly in my ears and fall out every time I turn my head quickly and it’s not very pleasant or comfortable for me.I’ve noticed when I put them in the case they sometimes still just keep playing and sound like the world’s weakest Bluetooth speaker – which they kinda are by design…if you think about it. So I’ve had to keep checking they’re actually charging in the case, instead of in my pocket wasting battery.

Dopo oltre tre anni di onorato servizio ho dovuto pensionare la mie Tozo T5, fedeli compagne di moltissimi chilometri di corsa. Per sostituirle ho cercato ancora un modello col gancio per una buona stabilità ma che, a differenza delle T5, fosse open-ear così da poter sentire i rumori circostanti e non doversi togliere l’auricolare quando si deve parlare con qualcuno.Visto che mi sono sempre trovato bene con gli auricolari Tozo, che hanno un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, mi sono orientato sulle OpenEgo.Dopo un mese di utilizzo, sono molto soddisfatto del prodotto. La qualità del suono è molto buona, migliore delle T5, probabilmente anche grazie al cono degli altoparlanti 4 mm più grande. Da notare che si tratta di auricolari a conduzione aerea, non ossea, per cui le frequenze alte non sono sacrificate, anzi possono essere esaltate cambiando l’equalizzazione con l’app Tozo (cosa non possibile con le vecchie T5).Sono abbastanza comode da indossare, almeno per chi è abituato agli auricolari con gancio, dimensioni e peso sono simili alle T5 (vedi foto con i due modelli a confronto). Le T5 erano leggermente più stabili negli scatti e nel trail; in questo sono utili gli stabilizzatori, dei gommini aggiuntivi che rendono più aderente la calzata anche in presenza di sudore (e che vanno montati con attenzione se poi si vuole chiudere completamente la custodia senza toglierli).Non ho provati gli auricolari in chiamate, dato che li uso solo per la corsa, per cui non ho un’opinione sulla cancellazione del rumore discussa in altre recensioni.La custodia non supporta la ricarica wireless, ma usa esclusivamente una USB-C. Questa non è comunque una grossa pecca, vista la lunga durata della carica.

Der Klang ist super und was mich überzeugt hat, ist der Tragekomfort. Die Kopfhörer sitzen leicht und sicher (bei meinen Ohren mit den beiliegenden Gummi-Adaptern) , ohne unangenehm zu drücken, selbst nach stundenlangem Tragen. Das offene Design sorgt dafür, dass ich auch meine Umgebung noch gut wahrnehmen kann, was für mich besonders praktisch ist. Die Akkulaufzeit ist sehr gut. Ich komme problemlos durch den Tag. Insgesamt kann ich die TOZO Open Ego Kopfhörer empfehlen. Ein gutes Produkt zu einem fairen Preis!
