While it may not rival professional underwater videography equipment, it’s more than sufficient for casual use and capturing cool footage to share with friends and family. I appreciate the 16G TF card for storage and the GPS chip in the buoy. One of my favorite features is the depth keeping mode. For something this cool quite the deal.Weâve used it at a pool with the kids and at the lake. Nice drone marred by very poor video quality
They did a fantastic job engineering the control system on this. Driving this underwater is similar to flying an aerial drone. It can “hover” in place and maintain stable pointing on whatever you’re looking at. For something this small and affordable, the maneuverability is impressive and would make this drone a good product except for one thing: they completely screwed up the video. In situations with low contrast (which happens much of the time when you’re filming underwater!) the video stutters and drops out. I suspect this is due to the compression or frame rate constantly adapting. Even when it “works” however, the video quality is very poor due to the overly aggressive compression it applies. Unfortunately, there’s no way to control this or trade video space for quality. The phone interface to this drone offers no ability to adjust video settings. (And the interface, overall, is quite awful.) It’s a real pity, because this would be a great product if it could take good video. However, what’s the point if it can’t?

Best present EVER!
This is all my son in law wanted for Christmas. He was disappointed at the iPhone we gave him because he figured that ended the possibility of the drone. Of course I saved the drone for last! He LOVES it. Heâs been out constantly in the cold weather taking videos off his dock. The videos are incredible. (See attached video) Itâs like youâre underwater following along. The visibility is so clear. It gives very clear detailed views. Another thing he will be using it for is to explore new swimming areas before letting the kids jump in. He told me that itâs easy to run and he is totally happy. I recommend this product 100%!
