Customers say
Customers find the car stereo easy to install and operate, with clear instructions, and appreciate its variable color options and professional installation appearance. Moreover, they consider it good value for money, particularly as a factory replacement. However, the functionality and sound quality receive mixed reviews – while the FM works fine, some report issues with the remote not working, and while the sound is decent, some mention hissing issues. Additionally, the Bluetooth connectivity and fit are also mixed aspects, with some reporting immediate Bluetooth connection and perfect fit, while others experience connection failures and compatibility issues.

Good little stereo for ’12 Jeep Patriot
This is a good little stereo for my jeep. I wanted an upgrade because my stock stereo kept eating CDs and it’s aux port was a disaster. Frankly, I’m just done with CDs & having bluetooth was a big selling point for me. The price is also low enough that if it didn’t work out, I was okay with loosing out on that money. The install…Firstly… A lot of the problems I experienced along the way we’re jeep problems. There were many. The first problem I encountered forced me to reshape the inner bracket that helps hold the radio in place.Jeep also has wiring/canbus issues that are meant to throw up a road blocks to keep people from doing these installs themselves and forcing you to either buy a oem unit that a dealer must install or dig around the net to find a “compatible” radio.Because of this any radio that doesn’t talk to the computer through the canbus wires, does not receive any current through the radio’s ignition wire. No signal to turn on the radio once the key was in. Additionally, finding a good, understandable wiring guide for my jeep was frustrating. The radio’s guide also left me a bit unclear on which wire was to the battery & which for the ignition.I thought the unit was DOA or damaged by my messing around, trying to figure things out. Thankfully, this is a tough little unit that handled all the bumps and bends and improper wiring attempts. The other problem was the radio was not a perfect fit for the outer frame. It’s height was fine, but I ended up purchasing a separate install kit. If I’d know about it from the get go, it would have saved me so many headache.Thankfully this kit has everything you need to install this radio into a Jeep Patriot, including a long fused wire to bypass the non functioning ignition wire.Despite all the hurdles I had to overcome I have a very nice bluetooth radio that looks professionally installed and sounds great! I also love how when connected to my phone in bluetooth mode. I can shut my jeep off and it pauses the music on my phone. When I turn my jeep back on, it automatically resumes playing right where it left off. It’s great!!!

I don’t think I could have gotten better for less
Boss 820BRGBFirst off, donât let the price of this stereo scare you off. The sound quality is WAY above what this unit costs. I kept the factory JVC amp and sub, and the factory Harmen Kardon tweeters, replaced the door speakers with some Pyles, and the Harmen Kardon stereo with this. My car now rocks harder than it did when I bought it.Pros:1) sound quality â this thing puts out great sound2) looks â it looks good, no matter what color you choose to use3) controls â theyâre easy to learn, and simple to use â I had everything down in probably 15 minutes4) four RCA preamp outputs5) AUX in, and Bluetooth â both work perfectly for music â works good for incoming phone calls, but Siri doesn’t work – I don’t know if it works with whatever dialing assistant Android uses6) it wired up easy using the Scosche wiring harness for my carCons:1) the controls look cheap â worse, they feel cheap â the volume knob, and USB door feel like something that would be on an inexpensive toy2) the USB input is pretty much useless â I put in a 64gb USB drive, with everything laid out in folders, and there is no folder view so you can go choose what you want to listen to â instead, you can only skip ahead 5 or 10 songs at a time, and with 3200+ songs to choose from, that makes the USB input useless3) there is no Apple Car Play, or Android Auto, but I knew that going in, so maybe not a con so much as me wishing Iâd gotten a stereo that has them4) the colors â it doesnât matter what color you try, none are particularly visible in bright sunlight, and red is the worst during the day â at night, itâs the opposite, with red being the only color that isnât too bright to use5) no dedicated RCA preamp output for a subwoofer â while it wasnât an issue for me, it could be for some peopleOverall, if you donât have a lot of money to spend on a new car stereo, this one gets it done. Iâm happy with it. If it had cost twice as much, Iâd still have been happy with it.

Gets the job done for a value priced stereo
I installed this stereo in a 2006 Toyota Highlander. It replaced the factory stereo which was a CD/tape unit. Old school!I’m not really a car person so it took me some time and reading to figure out the installation process. I ran into an obstacle when removing the old stereo. A quick web search fixed that. Then when I tried to connect the car wires to the stereo the connectors didn’t fit. More reading indicated that I needed to get a wire harness and connect each wire individually. A few sources on the web indicated that butt connectors would do the job. I got the wire harness from a local auto parts store however the connectors they sold me didn’t work. I managed to find some unused wire nuts from an old electrical project. I was able to use those to make the connections with the wire harness. Installation went smoothly after that.As far as sound quality it is okay. I have some background noise on the speakers. I’m not sure if that is due to me using wire nuts or if it’s just the quality of this stereo. Features seem good and Bluetooth connects flawlessly.Documentation is a bit incomplete especially for installation.

Was in search of a deck with out draining my account with justinflation happening in Canada. No problems yet and it’s been a while. Good volume with aftermarket stereo and a subwoofer blasting my white girl music down town. Best back for your buck

Excelente calidad-precio.

It works OK , not easy to setup , especially after disconnecting the power, it loses the setup, You have to reset again , it’s to small for my caravan , I had to close the gaps with fiberglass on both sides.
