FEWER FALSE ALERTS WITH COBRA’S PATENTED TECHNOLOGY! The IVT Filter TM system reduces false alerts from sources like collision avoidance systems so you hear only what you need to hear
LONG RANGE! In flat, open conditions the range is at least 2 miles. Please note that shorter range can occur if the officer is hiding behind a hill, around a curve, of if the officer is using an instant-on radar gun
DETECTS SIGNALS FROM BOTH FRONT AND REAR! With Cobra’s advanced laser eye sensor, you are protected from police scanning in front or behind you. Detects all radar signals (X, K and Ka bands with signal strength indication), laser and VG-2 signals
VOICEALERT: Digital voice announcements provide intuitive band identification and easy to understand alerts, so you can keep your eyes on the road
Customers say
Customers find the radar detector to be a solid unit that works well and detects radar signals effectively, with very few false alerts. They consider it worth the money.

Can turn off X and K bands!
I purchased the refurbished one. It is great! You can go into the settings and turn off X band, K band, and even Ka. Not sure why because Ka are the actual cops. X band isn’t used for speeding. K band will signal for the trailer-speed cameras or the stationary signs that show your speed. Ka band is the real one that will cost you a ticket. That will alert you to state troopers across the nation. Prior to this I had a Cobra from 2005. It rang for all alerts. 99% of the K band alerts were/are the blind spot monitoring for SUV’s and fancy cars.Buy this thing!Only issue is that i passed two undercover stationary cops using Lidar guns and it didn’t make a sound 🙁

As Expected
Unit detects very well. Usually run med mode in the city around the stores. No problems yet. And specter has picked up a couple of murdered out Suburbans. Couldn’t see the running lights until right up on the back of it. With the new LED bars the reflection is super hard to spot.Second best insurance i have purchase for an automobile.

It works well
It seems pretty accurate and gives you a prompt warning, but the suction on it was atrocious, the worst I’ve ever seen.

Do not buy this product!!!
Compared with my 15 dollar radar this one sucks it doesnt go off till like 100 feet away tops on all radar band the 25 dollar goes off like at .8 and this one nothing now i have 10 days till my trip and will not have the time to ship back get my money and buy another i am so pissed. All these people wrote all these great reviews and the only thing I can think of is that they work for the company. Or I got a faulty device because there is no way but this item the rad 450 works as described. I don’t understand how a $15 radar detector beat this out with ease. The only thing that it did have over the $15 radar detector was that it didn’t go off all the time but I’m thinking that’s just because it didn’t go off at all. Do not buy this item it is a waste of money.

Good and solid unit
If it goes off one time and keeps you from a speeding ticket then it paid for itself.Saved my butt several times so far.The only complaint I have is the IVT tech in other cars setting it off , but I can live with that because it differentiates between the cops and their Ka band and the VG2 stuff.X band can be annoying as well with sliding doors at a couple of business establishments I pass daily.

Awesome Detector
Took this on a cross country trip to California and back and it was a money saver. It detected every police radar in every state we traveled to and very few false alarms. Recommend this very highly.

Works Well
The range is great sometimes, but other times I feel like the range is somewhat short. That said, the range is enough to provide ample warning in most instances. I have only had it about 2 months now and it has saved me numerous times on my daily commute. It is not as good as a $300+ detector, but it is definitely works and is a good value.
